The Acoustic Duct provides an easy and cost effective way of measuring absorption coefficient and transmission loss in acoustical materials and automotive parts as mufflers.
Under traditional approaches, a reverberation room, an anechoic chamber, expensive equipment, large samples and skilled personnel are required, resulting in high costs and time loss in preparation. With this product, there will be no need for specialized rooms nor huge, expensive specimens. The intelligent design utilizes two- or four-microphone methods in a duct to produce plane waves such that acoustical properties over a wide frequency range could be determined from small samples.
What the Acoustic Duct can do
Reduces cost and time lost on preparing reverberation and anechoic rooms as well as large specimens
Minimizes the time-to-market through the easy manageability of the system which allows for measurements to be taken conveniently
Tests and analyzes multi-layer materials for acoustic absorption or insulation
Measures muffler transmission loss without flow
Features
Complete system without need of any other FFT analyzer
Capable of capturing frequencies between 100Hz and 6400Hz
Portable system, simple operation and easily manageable process allows quick and repeatable measurements
Intelligent interface allows individual tests to be compared on same graph
Easy data transfer in text file, bitmap, EXCEL, ESV formats
