Chongqing, 3 January, 2008 – The Technical Committee Conference of Chongqing Research Center of Vehicle NVH Engineering and Technology was successfully held at CAERI on December 29, 2007.

Li Chengde - President of the NVH Committee of the China Society of Automotive Engineering, Wu Kui - Lifan Automobile Research Institute, Xie Yunde - Jianshe Motorcycle AG, and Applied Technology Institute and Ren Xiaochang – Director of CAERI, were invited to the speak at the forum. Over 80 attendees from Chongqing Changan Group, Chongqing University, Longxin Group, the Construction Industry Group, Lifan Motors, Ford and the materials, components, equipment departments from CAERI attended the event.

The conference was chaired, on behalf of Chongqing Vehicle NVH Technology Research Center, by the Director of the NVH Research Center, Tang Yuejin. Mr. Tang briefly introduces the recently completed Chongqing Research Center of Vehicle NVH Engineering and Technology. The introduction was followed by technical reports by six technicians from Chang'an Group, Chongqing University and CAERI NVH Research Center, on the topics of engine mechanical noise control methods, whole vehicle TPA technology, muffler design analysis, test and CAE technology, vehicle sound quality and so on.

This forum served as a platform for discussions on the specific NVH technology applications in vehicles, engines and parts, etc., for NVH professionals from car and motorcycle manufacturers as well as universities, research institutes in  Chongqing. Following this event, the organizer plans to hold a national NVH technology conference in 2008.

The Chongqing Research Center of Vehicle NVH Engineering and Technology was established in 2006 by CAERI in cooperation with Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. and the Chongqing University. Since its inception, the three parties have been working in active collaboration with each other in building up the city’s NVH capacity. Over the past year, we have constructed laboratories and acquired NVH test and simulation analytical systems, vehicle and parts noise testing and control technology and undertaken a number of national and city-level research projects and achieved a number of findings from our scientific research.
